Our campfire area is the perfect place to enjoy a home cooked country style breakfast or BBQ lunch. Many groups enjoy fellowship time and meeting new friends during this time at the ranch. Some of our social programs include music time, ice cream socials, theme nights, roasting marshmallows as well as songs and stories by campfire. Please contact the ranch for availability.
Garden & Nature
An accessible 15′x30′garden with groomed trails has been started and is maintained by our guests at the ranch. This beautiful space consists of flowers, vegetables and sensory areas. The garden project exposes our clients to a new environment of creativity, healing, and health. Our organic practices include planting, cultivating, water conservation, and harvesting. Guests learn about composting, good insects for the garden, natural fertilizers and much more. We often raise and release butterflies, learn about weather, or cast animal tracts. Through these projects, guests will learn how to set and achieve individual driven goals and how to communicate their needs through real life situations. Learning these skills will not only teach them to be more independent and self-sufficient, but instill confidence.
Music & Crafts
Music seems to be a universal language and time is set aside each day to have fun with singing and dancing. During this time we encourage visitors to use homemade or traditional instruments on their own.
Interaction with every aspect of our environment will inspire different ideas for crafts. Leaf imprinting, seed and acorn gathering as well as using nature’s elements to build homes for small wildlife are just a few ideas to bring creativity and fun to these programs. Recycling projects are an enjoyable and interesting way to educate our guests while having fun with everyday materials.
Our visitors have the opportunity to explore, play games or just relax throughout the recreational area. Swings and picnic tables throughout this space provide a beautiful view of the ranch. Nature trails provide a chance for horseback riding, hay rides, nature hunts or a nice stroll through Florida’s habitat. The ranch is currently working on an accessible tree house/exercise area.
