Volunteers are the cornerstone of Whispering Meadows Ranch. Whatever your interests, we have a place for you! From working with the participants, the horses, or maintaining the garden and fields, we need you! Here are a few ideas that might spark your interest.
Our therapeutic riding and Equine Assisted Learning programs begin in early September and runs through May. We are looking for horse leaders, side walkers and horse groomers. Horse experience is helpful but not necessary!
Our “Work Skills” program currently runs on Monday from 8:00am-12:00pm and we are looking for volunteers to work hand in hand with the participants as they learn general ranch maintenance, horse health care, as well as garden and landscape projects. If you are handy with small hand tools, like to build small construction projects and love working with young adults, then this is a perfect fit for you.
If you are organized, enthusiastic and love to plan a party then you have what it takes to help us with our fundraisers and special guests! We have some great ideas started, but need those special people to make it all come together.
The kids are absolutely amazing and although there is lots of work to be done, we sure do have a lot of fun doing it. Won’t you join us?
Community Volunteering
Each year, company employees, church members, school groups and community organizations volunteer their time at Whispering Meadows Ranch for their community impact day. Spending a day outdoors fixing fences, painting, building sensory trail projects or playing with the horses creates a wonderful opportunity to work together and build strong bonds.
Some of our community partners provide in-kind product donations; others financial assistance; and still others, sponsorship support. There are many opportunities to volunteer at the Ranch, contact us for more information on how you can give back!
